Mashable posted a good article titled “HOW TO: Get the Most Out of Subcontracting With Freelancers” by Shane Pearlma. I enjoyed the section about how to manage the relationship and and the technology these virtual agency like to use.
On the invoicing side of things I have been using Harvest app for a year now, they come out with new features like base-camp integration and desktop widgets for time tracking but I ran across a British time tracking and client management site called SOLO, I see they have some new features coming soon but they do offer a 14 day free trial.
